The magnificent Great Hall at Chicago Union Station is the ideal location for elegant special events, receptions and weddings. Originally designed by famed architect Daniel Burnham, and completed in 1925, the Great Hall is considered to be one of the greatest indoor spaces in the United States.

Guests are awed as they enter this 20,000 foot classic Beaux Arts style room which boasts 18 soaring Corinthian columns, terracotta walls, a pink Tennessee marble floor and is crowned with a spectacular five-story, barrel-vaulted, atrium ceiling.

Whether you are planning a dinner for 300 or a cocktail reception for 2,500 this timeless setting in one of Chicago’s most prestigious landmarks and will be sure to make an unforgettable impression upon your guests.

The Great Hall-a truly unique Chicago venue. With a 115 foot ceiling, dramatically sublet architecture, and unobstructed space the possibilities for creative versatility in event design are virtually unlimited.
Capacity: 250-2,500 for a reception, 250-1,500 for a seated dinner.

The Union Gallery-Opening onto the Great Hall, a beautiful 3,500 square foot room, ideal for VIP receptions, lounges, ceremonies and meetings.
Capacity: 200 for a reception, 150 for a seated dinner.

The Adams Street balcony-overlooks the Great Hall from the floor above, is a superb VIP section and features an outdoor patio.

Jackson Street Balcony-gives the guests a dramatic view of the Great Hall from two floors above.
